Jackson residents receive donated soaps

Marietjie Gericke from Suideroord handed out soaps to residents of Jackson informal settlement on March 19.

Residents came in numbers to receive the soap and a few lessons on how to properly wash their hands.

Marietjie was assisted by paw-rangers to distribute the bars of soap to the residents.

Marietjie said these bars of soap were donated to her and she decided to donate it to the people of Jackson who received it with open arms.

“I would like to thank all the sponsors who made this giveaway possible. Also, a huge thank you to René Parker who assisted and made certain that this giveaway becomes a success,” said Marietjie.
