UPDATE: Security guard killed at SP Pavilion Glenanda North

Moffat View SAPS said the security guard was found with an open wound to his upper body and the motive is unknown.

A SECURITY guard employed by Fortress Defence Security was found dead by Darren van den Heever, the owner of the security company, on the evening of October 23 at SP Pavilion, where he was on duty.

Charles Hohlovu’s body was found by van den Heever when he went to check up on his guards at the shopping centre. “He began his shift at 6pm, taking over from the day shift guard. When I arrived at the shopping centre, Hohlovu wasn’t where he usually stands so I went in search of him. I found his body behind one of the buildings in the shopping centre. I immediately called SAPS.”
