A security guard at SP Pavilion Glenanda North was found in critical condition on Wednesday evening, October 23 by his co-worker behind one of the buildings in the Centre.
Emergency services were summoned to the scene but the man passed away from his injuries.
It is believed the fatal attack was carried out by a homeless mentally disturbed man who attacked the guards at the Centre earlier this week and returned on Wednesday evening and killed his victim with a panga.
CPF from Moffat View and Mondeor, as well as SAPS and security, attended the scene.
