WATCH: The start of the UV Run/Walk at Rietvlei Zoo Farm
The event was well attended, with gorgeous weather and a warm evening, which made the run/walk all the more enjoyable.
THE UV run/walk was held at Rietvlei Zoo Farm on May 4 in aid of local charities, with participants dressing the part in colourful and glowing clothing and accessories.
The charities included St Mary’s Children’s Home, TLC, Animal Anti-Cruelty League, J-Life, Habitat for Humanity and The Character Company, with sponsors Rietvlei Trails, Matrix Warehouse, SportSpots, Halo and NGL Attorneys in attendance.
There were plenty of children’s activities, including sand art, face painting, dancing and hoola hoop competitions, jungle gyms, jumping castles, balloon sculpting and colouring-in puzzles. Mc Jon Jon Pietersen kept everyone informed on the goings on and DJ Roger Lautenbach played some great music, keeping the crowd on their toes.
