Top BMXers ride in Alberton

They put their very best tyre forward and pedalled hard to reach the coveted number one spot in their age groups.

THE National Age Group Series was held at the Alrode BMX Club.

The event saw BMX riders from all over South Africa compete against each other in highly contested gates. The riders represented age groups ranging from the young five and under category to the very best of the elites. Both male and female riders made their presence felt.

JUMPING TO THE LEAD: Riders in the National Age Group Series jostled for position coming up to the first jump.

To cheering and applause, the riders took to the top of the track. They put their very best tyre forward and pedalled hard to reach the coveted number one spot in their age groups.

WHEELIE: A lot of skill was shown by riders getting close to the finish line.
FUN: The day was enjoyed by all, doing the sport they love.
HARD AROUND: Spectators’ cheers of “pedal harder” sounded out as the racers went round the bend.
