Nkosi’s Haven receives help

“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our care workers and residents feel more secure now since we have the alarm system.”

AFTER Nkosi’s Haven was targeted by criminals, National Security and Fire offered to help them.

“We saw an article in the newspaper about their plight, after they had been broken into three times and offered our assistance,” said Kerneels Gerber, general manager of National Security and Fire. He contacted Michelle Pelser (CPF Mondeor Sector Two) for her assistance in setting up a meeting with Gail Johnson, founder of Nkosi’s Haven.

Nkosi’s Haven is an NGO in Alan Manor which offers residential, holistic care and support for mothers and their children whose lives have been impacted by HIV/Aids.

The company has installed an alarm and security system, as well as backing up with monitoring and response.

“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,” said Gail. “Our care workers and residents feel more secure now since we have the alarm system. They were beginning to feel edgy and worried, especially during the night if they heard any noises.”

If you can offer any assistance in the way of groceries, other goods or voluntary work please phone 011 942 5580.
