The Recycle Challenge drive will continue until the end of June

A GROUP of four Tammy Taylor Mrs SA semi-finalists recently participated in a recycling drive meant to support Cotlands with several tonnes of paper and cardboard to recycle.

Cotlands is a multi-award winning, non-profit organisation with a rich history and 80 plus years of experience in serving young children.

The group which comprised of Tandi Potgieter, Samantha Retief, Peggy Nduku and  Sphiwe Mohlala   also raised money for underprivileged communities in the South.

Through the Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Pageant and Mpact Recycling, several businesses have contributed to the recycling challenge through recycling material donated to Cotlands.

“Dean Spear from 3-in-1 Garden Services and Andricht Krope from Ignite Transport Services transported the recycling goods to Cotlands while Group 1 Nissan and Renault The Glen have set up a recycling area in their workshop to continue supporting Cotlands,” said Potgieter.

“The ECD Forum Southern District played an important role by bringing children to the event who also recited a wonderful recycling song while the MMC of the Sedibeng municipality also donated waste paper and books for the cause.”

Cotlands chief executive officer Monica Stach expressed her gratitude to the group for choosing their organisation as part of the charities to be sponsored through the recycling challenge.

She said the organisation will continue with its cause to building a stronger nation by ensuring that as many potentially vulnerable children as possible have access to play-based early learning opportunities during early childhood.
