Funds raised for local soccer player

"We wish Lindokuhle all the best in Italy and look forward to seeing his talent grow with this fantastic opportunity and exposure.”

A fantastic soccer day was enjoyed by all participants at the Group 1 Renault The Glen Men’s Futsal Tournament held at Rietvlei Zoo Farm Astro Field on March 25.

The winning team out of 17 participating teams was Royal Lakes who won R10 000 cash.

A portion of the proceeds went to fund-raising for local aspiring soccer player Lindokuhle Zimba who was selected to represent SA schools in Italy in April.

“Thank you to all the players, refs, captains, coaches and supporters for a great football festival. We are proud to be part of this fund-raising event that is supporting local talent,” said Trevor Mohan, sales manager at Group 1 Renault The Glen.

“We wish Lindokuhle all the best in Italy and look forward to seeing his talent grow with this fantastic opportunity and exposure.”
