She wants to inspire and motivate young girls

She currently owns multiple educational learning centers.

SAMANTHA Retief from the Eye of Africa Estate has been proclaimed as a Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Top 100 semi-finalist for 2018.

But there is more to this lovely woman than just being a semi-finalist. She is also a wife, mother, minister, graduate in BCom Law, postgraduate in contracts and an owner of multiple businesses.

This pageant is all about empowering married women and is not a typical beauty pageant in the traditional sense of the word. It offers women who have real-life careers, families and hobbies a platform to make a difference.

“I am thrilled and extremely excited at the opportunity to be a brand ambassador for the Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Pageant,” she said.

The journey ahead provides her with an opportunity and platform to campaign for the following:

• To celebrate the inner and outer beauty of women through initiating reward and recognition programmes for ordinary ladies doing extraordinary work within their respective communities.

• To inspire, motivate, coach and guide young girls on personal leadership, self-love, making good decisions and provide them with coping strategies on how to overcome social and economic barriers and help navigate job creation opportunities.

• To role model the importance of parenting and improve the parental skills of mothers by providing and initiating accessible and affordable parenting development initiatives.

• To campaign for the relevance of the marriage institution and by highlighting the role that women play as the ‘Mrs’ in the relationship.

Samantha has been happily married to her soul mate and university sweetheart Dean Retief for 17 years. He is a banking executive and senior pastor and together they have two beautiful daughters – Daniella (14) and Demique (12).

She currently owns multiple educational learning centers: Ignite Kids, Bumble Bee Forest, Love A Lot Pre-School and runs a FET College Ignite Leadership Development in partnership with Edu-Build Development. She is also the co-founder with her husband of Ignite Family Church in Eldorado Park.
