Learn about gardening

As part of our ongoing drive to increase membership and thereby ensure the sustainability of our club, we are urging all members to bring a friend to our meeting on Tuesday, March 17.

ARE you a keen gardener or do you enjoy pottering in the garden? Then why not think about joining Johannesburg South Garden Club, who hold meetings twice monthly?

This month the first meeting is on Saturday, March 17 at 10am in The Geelhout room of the Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre situated in Peggy Vera Road, Kibler Park. The guest speaker will be Paul Wilmans from Hadeco, who will chat about how to have success with bulbs in the cooler months.

On March 27, at 10am at the same venue, come and enjoy a talk and slide show called Clivias and Flowers on Show, which will be presented by Hilton Blake.

“As part of our ongoing drive to increase membership and thereby ensure the sustainability of our club, we are urging all members to bring a friend to our meeting on March 17. There will be no fee for visitors attending this meeting,” said Mike Richardson, the garden club’s secretary.
