Conversations with strangers: A nail technician and make-up artist

We speak to Gabriella Spyrides, who is a nail technician and make-up artist based in Mulbarton.

GABRIELLA Spyrides (20) is a qualified and talented nail technician and make-up artist with dreams to one day do make-up for actors, actresses and those in the media industry.

Born and bred in Robertsham, Gabriella (Gabby) attended Marist Brothers School and Mulbarton Remedial School. The young, enthusiastic and extremely talented artist started working at a nail studio in Bassonia. She worked there for one and a half years and then decided to broaden her skills by doing make-up.

Gabby attended 27 Red – StageLine Professional Make-up School with owner Heather Barger as her teacher. She started there in February 2016 and completed her qualification in November 2016. In May this year she pursued and completed her qualification in nails.

“My passion has always been make-up and one day I would like to do make-up in the TV industry. I like to do make-up with special effects for movies but this is quite expensive. There are special products, looks and courses to be done and it is expensive,” said Gabby.

Gabby enjoys singing, dancing, travelling, going on adventures, meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. Typically, her favourite movie is Grease.

She also offers massages lasting five minutes to an hour, make-up and hair curling or simple hairstyles. She is also available for call-outs and will go to people if required.

If you would like to contact Gabriella then contact her on 084 985 2260 or 011682 3269. You can also find her on Facebook.
