A man with big dreams to be a builder

We speak to Yannick Lumbula who is a 29-year-old parking attendant at the Comaro View Shopping Centre and has his matric and a diploma in construction.

THE CHRONICLE had a chat with Yannick Lumbula who is a 29-year-old parking attendant at the Comaro View Shopping Centre.

Formerly from Congo, Yannick moved to South Africa in 2013 to attend university and learn more about the construction field. He spent three months learning English at the ABC International South Africa training centre in Johannesburg. After this Yannick found it difficult to acquire the money he needed to study further as he had planned.

The bachelor has been alone in Bassonia and would love to be a builder. Yannick has his matric and a diploma in construction. He has been working for three months now at the centre. Prior to that he was searching for jobs.

The hard worker is still looking for better jobs and to further his education.

If you would like to help Yannick or you know of anyone who may be able to help him, please contact him on 074 300 6859.

Yannick is a kind-hearted person who was eager to share his story with us. Thank you, Yannick for having a conversation with a stranger.
