Confidence booster for Dehan

Dehan’s mom, Aneli, said she’s definitely noticed a huge difference in Dehan’s coordination and fine motor skills since he joined the soccer club just over a month ago. “It’s quite remarkable how he’s come on and he loves playing soccer here,” she said.

DEHAN Calitz (11), who lives in Suideroord and attends Frances Vorwerg School for children with cerebral palsy and learning disabilities, recently became a member of Rietvlei Soccer School, under the coaching of Fred Du Preez.

Dehan’s mom, Aneli, said she’s definitely noticed a huge difference in Dehan’s co-ordination and fine motor skills since he joined the soccer club just over a month ago. “It’s quite remarkable how he improved and he loves playing soccer here,” she said.

Coach Fred said: “Dehan’s confidence has grown dramatically and he looks forward to his twice-weekly soccer training, feels part of a team and he proudly wears his soccer school strip.

“Children who have learning difficulties often find it hard to focus and we encourage other young soccer lovers who are challenged with learning difficulties, to come and join the soccer school lessons.”

If you are interested in your child joining the Rietvlei Soccer School, please contact coach Lyle Bennett on 061 486 2299.
