A Spiritual Sunday in Musical Mood

During her studies in classical music, she developed a sincere interest in jazz, contemporary and rock music, which lead to the forming of her own corporate events company Power Music Entertainment.

YOU are invited to A Spiritual Sunday in Musical Mood and this promises to be an event not to be missed.

On October 1, Ilse-Louise Herholdt will give a solo performance at Ligstad from the old Eeufees Church situated on the corner of Van Riebeeck Avenue and Gerrit Maritz Street, Alberton North.

During this performance, this music master will not only entertain you with magical music but she will also amaze you with her talent by playing on no less than eight instruments.

The programme promises to provide songs ranging from spiritual music to songs from the movies. This exciting event will also be televised on VIA Channel 147 on the programme Ek en My 5000 vriende.

The show starts at 2.30pm for 3pm and tickets are available at R100 per adult and R50 for children and pensioners.

After the show wine, sparkling wine, cold drinks and snacks will be served.

About Ilse-Louise

Ilse-Louise will be heading up the Ligstad Music School. She is a multi-talented professional instrumentalist who performs on an impressive eight instruments, including the flute, piano, sax, bass guitar, cello, pan-flute, harmonica and organ.

She started her career by completing her BMus (Cum Laude), specialising in Performance Piano at the University of Pretoria (UP). She received an achievement bursary each year of her studies at UP and also obtained a Teacher’s Licentiate at UNISA, while still completing her BMus.

Ilse-Louise subsequently obtained her master’s degree in music specialising in Performance Flute and Composition at WITS. She is currently preparing a proposal for completing her doctorate in Music through UNISA.

During her studies in classical music, she developed a sincere interest in jazz, contemporary and rock music, which lead to the forming of her own corporate events company Power Music Entertainment.

Ilse-Louise has shared the stage with many well-known local artists such as Kurt Darren and international stars including PJ Powers, Patrizio and Demis Roussos.

Her success has led to corporate performances for celebrities such as Oprah Winfrey and Hugh Masekela. In addition to her regular performances, she has enjoyed participating in theatre productions such as the Lion King on main keyboards. Ilse-Louise has just completed her solo saxophone debut album So Saxy and Flute-Tastic.
