Pair caught with explosives

The law enforcement agencies arrested two suspects.

A TIP-OFF led to the arrest of a 62-year-old man and a 41-year-old woman in Robertsham on September 6 for possession of explosives.

National Crime Intelligence along with JMPD responded to information from an anonymous source about explosives in the Booysens Area.

DETAINED: The law enforcement agencies arrested two suspects.

Booysens SAPS communication officer, Capt Lorraine van Emmerik said Crime Intelligence and JMPD intercepted a vehicle with two suspects travelling on Xavier Street in Robertsham.

“The vehicle they were travelling in was searched and explosives were found. The suspects were taken into custody at Booysens Police Station for possession of live ammunition,” she said.
