Celebrating women

Jacaranda FM’s Minisha Patel spoke about her passion, Sisters with Blisters and Tshegofatso Mathe (Ace Models JHB South) shared her beauty and grooming tips.

A BREAKFAST for women was held at Aspen Hills Clubhouse on Saturday, August 12 at which various guest speakers enlightened women about health matters and offered them pointers on how to take care of themselves so they look and feel good in the corporate world.

The morning was organised by Andrea Scott (public relations officer, Aspen Hills Home Owners Association) and MC’d by Katherine Jut. A delicious high tea from Caterdeli was enjoyed by all the ladies. Spot prizes were given out throughout the morning and entertainment was provided by singer, Kirsty Morar. Local author, Sarah Sukhessan, spoke about her new book, Come What May – Life Goes On, which was available after the breakfast.

She also showcased some of her young models in a fashion show. Some of the garments worn by the models were designed by Mpho Mogotsi (Bbotlefeela Fashion), who spoke on how to choose the correct clothing to suit your shape and style.

After breathing exercises from Ilana Nienaber from Bodysynergy Weight Management Studio, Stacey Claase (In Motion Performance Pilates and Yoga Studio) sharing a few simple exercises and Tanya Tobin-Primo from EMS Aspen Body Studio giving the ladies a demo, all were able to unwind and relax. Ntokozo Dludla (breast cancer counsellor) gave great advice and reminded everyone to check their breasts regularly, “It could save your life,” she added.

Andrea thanked everyone for being there and gave special thanks to Pam Golding, the main sponsor, for their input and assistance.
