Breakout a challenge for athletes

OCT, South held yet another Breakout Challenge.

OBSTACLE Course Training (OCT) South held yet another successful Breakout Challenge, Obstacle course race, OCR, in the South at the end of July.

This event saw many elite athletes participate in the 5km, 10km and 15km event. The terrain was difficult and brought out the best of the best.

It was also the first inter-school competition which was held over 4km and 15km. Head Coach and Director of OCT South, Rudi Delport, said, “In order for us to grow this sport we need to start with our children. It was a phenomenal experience to watch them run, jump, climb and crawl their way to the finish line. I am super proud of all of them!”

The boys’ team from Dalmondeor Primary took first place in a record time. The girls’ team from Glenanda Primary took first place.

OCR is taking over the sport scene at a rapid pace. The club encourages you, your families and friends to experience what this sport is all about.

Rudi Delport can be contacted on 0768837564 or info@octsouth.co.za should you wish to register your school for the next event.
