Discovering what’s in the bag

“We won’t divulge all the contents of the handbags, could be a little embarrassing,” added an amused Laetitia.

WHAT women keep in their handbags was the topic for discussion at the monthly Circle of Friends meeting, which was held on July 18.

Each group member received a total of 10 points, losing one for every messy item found lurking at the bottom of her bag. “It was quite a laugh when we saw who kept screwed up tissues and loose change in their handbags, as well as sweets which had become unwrapped and resembled a sticky hairy mess!” said Laetitia Pretorius who organised the meeting.

The member with the most points and therefore the winner, was Hilda Theck who received a surprise gift.

“I’m naturally a tidy person and I guess this goes for my handbag too,” she laughed.

“We won’t divulge all the contents of the handbags – could be a little embarrassing,” added an amused Laetitia.
