Celebrating 80 years

She has been a member of the group, which was originally National Women’s Register (NWR), changing its name to Women of Worth (WOW) about four years ago and now, Circle of Friends, for many years.

CIRCLE of Friends helped one of their group, Carrie Labuschagne, celebrate her 80th birthday on Tuesday, March 21, at their monthly meeting.

She has been a member of the group for many years.

The group was originally the National Women’s Register (NWR). It changed its name to Women of Worth (WOW) about four years ago and has recently changed it once again, to Circle of Friends.

After a delicious tea was served with birthday cake in honour of Carrie, members spoke about the medicinal uses of herbs, which each one had researched, and then made angels out of paper plates.
