Don’t miss all the action of the Davis Cup Tie

Davis Cup Tie tickets on sale.

THE Davis Cup Tie between South Africa and Estonia will take place in February 2017.

Tickets are already on sale for the upcoming Euro/Africa Zone Group 2 Davis Cup by PNP Paribas tie between South Africa and Estonia.

The tie, to be played from February 3 to 5, 2017, will be hosted at the Irene Country Club, in Pretoria.

The same popular venue hosted the Davis Cup Tie South Africa versus Luxembourg in March, last year, which the home side won 5-0.

The Irene Country Club is unique and privileged to have one of the most beautiful and tranquil settings in Pretoria. The club has six courts, three under lights and outstanding facilities which offer tennis, golf, squash, cricket, bowls, restaurants and conference facilities, which are all the perfect ingredients for a top class Davis Cup venue.

Richard Glover, Tennis South Africa CEO, said: “The Irene Country Club is a spectacular venue and a great family-friendly environment in which to enjoy international tennis. This is a fresh start for our Davis Cup team and we urge tennis fans in Gauteng to come out in force to support our boys.”

South Africa and Estonia are expected to name their teams in early January 2017.

The tie will be played on a medium to fast paced hard court with seats for 500 spectators.

The programme for the tie is:

Friday, February 3, 09:50 – Opening ceremony. The first singles rubber will start at 10:00 with the second rubber following immediately thereafter.

Saturday, February 4, 12:00 – Doubles rubber.

Sunday, February 5, 10:00 – First reverse singles rubber, followed by final singles rubber.

All the matches are played as the best of five sets until a result has been achieved.

Tickets are R150 per person per day session and can be bought at Webtickets, at https://goo.gl/nQqsWN.
