School bids retiring teachers, principal farewell

Marist Brothers Linmeyer staff and children, say goodbye to staff members who are retiring at the end of this year.

THIS Jubilee year, Marist Brothers Linmeyer will bid farewell to several long-serving staff members.

Marist Brothers Linmeyer Primary School principal Tish Pritchard, will be retiring at the end of 2016. Tish started working as a teacher and HOD in 1988 and later became the first primary school principal. After 29 years at Marist Brothers Linmeyer the board and the school would like to thank Tish for her many years of leadership and for her contribution in guiding the school to the wonderful institution it is today.

Goodbye also to Diane Venter, who has been with Marist Brothers Linmeyer for 36 years and will be transferring to St Henry’s Marist College next year. Diane started in 1981 as a Grade One teacher, eventually becoming the HOD of Reception and Foundation Phase. Diane is to be commended for her dedication, commitment and allegiance to the school.

Three other retiring teachers will also be missed by the staff, parents and children alike. They are Marjorie Wallace who started teaching in 1983, Margot Livingstone who started in 1990, and Mollie Roberts who started teaching in 2006.
