How do working parents monitor kids at school, Manny?

Sweets taken from a stranger is obviously wrong, but what about kids who end up taking from so-called friends at school?

I refer to Manny de Freitas’ pointing of fingers, blaming bad parenting as the main cause in the poisoning of school children.

There may be some truth to Manny’s opinion, but if one’s child takes drugs even after a parent warns them, will that too be considered bad parenting?

Sweets taken from a stranger is obviously wrong, but what about kids who end up taking from so-called friends at school?

What Manny de Freitas also forgets to remember is the fact that children spend more time at school; and are easy influenced by peer pressure, no matter what their upbringing. A case of ‘follow the leader’.

I cannot thank God enough for the protection our kids have had, over their years of upbringing and socialising.

Manny shouldn’t judge so easily – we live in an economy where mostly both parents are compelled to work. Not every child is fortunate enough to have a stay-at-home mom who can collect them from school.

It’s society that has become sick; more so when an adult will feed children poison!
