Those interested may join Grace Trinity drummies

Both teams are coached by Anton Stadler, who received his Protea Colours for the third time this year and coached the SA team which competed at the WMF World Championship in Croatia. He is assisted by Simone O’Donoghue, Gene Riley, Lana Grundling and Adele Strydom.

THE highlight of 2016 for the Grace Trinity School for Girls junior and senior drum-majorette squads, competed at the South African Drum-Majorette National Championships, which were held at Germiston Stadium during the July school holidays.

The junior team achieved an overall 4th place in the Primary Elite League; winning bronze for Large Drill and silver for Non-Prop/Pom. The senior team competed in the Presidents League and achieved an overall second position, with Fairmont High School from Cape Town taking first place. The Grace team also won gold in the Non-Prop/Pom section and silver in Flag Group.

Three of the majorettes received their Gauteng provincial colours this year and will be contesting national team trials in the December holidays, in the hope of achieving their national colours.

Both the teams are opening their doors to any primary or high school girls who want to join this majorette family in the 2017 season.
