MONDEOR High School senior A chess team came third in the St Peter’s College Sports Festival held in September.
More than 150 teams participate in the annual festival which is held over three days and is the most prestigious schools Sports and Cultural Festival in South Africa. The team also came second in the Johannesburg North West Chess league.
One of the team members, Oratile Mosue, won 100 per cent of his matches and the board prize for board two.
