NINE passengers were left with minor injuries after a taxi driver allegedly lost control of his vehicle on Comaro Street just past Comaro View Shopping Centre, in Bassonia, and collided with a BMW earlier this morning (Wednesday, September 28).
ER24, EMER-G-MED, JMPD, Maponya 911 and other emergency services were on scene.

ER24 and EMER-G-MED spoke to the CHRONICLE and said the driver of the taxi fled the scene. The driver of the BMW did not suffer any major injuries after the taxi rammed into the back and side of the BMW causing both vehicles to land on the right hand side pavement. The taxi landed on its roof.
Upon arrival on the scene, patients were being transported to hospital for further medical care.
