The Bag Lady

What's The Bag Lady been up to this week? She visited the new Food Lover's Market at Comaro Crossing and shopped for something pink!

It’s here! “Spring has sprung, the grass is ris, I wonder where the birdies is? The bird is on the wing, but that’s absurd, the wing is on the bird”. My husband always recites this to me but I don’t know who it was who originally said it. Anyway, I like it, and I like it even more that spring is finally here.

In the pink

Everything is coming up roses and the stores are boasting pretty pink clothing. Woolworths have some gorgeous items, blouses, tops, floaty scarves and the most beautiful pair of pink suede stiletto shoes. Pop in and visit Woolworths at Alberton City, The Glen Shopping Centre or Mall of the South.

Feeling the pinch

Yes, I’m sure we all are but I’m talking about a different type of pinch. Dr Tanita Seejarim (chiropractor) has recently qualified and opened the Chiropractic Mobility Clinic in Boston House, East Wing Ground Floor, Aspen Business Park, Aspen Lakes. Tanita studied at UJ for six years, obtained her Master’s degree and is also a qualified sport chiropractor. “I passed cum laude every year of my studies,” said Tanita. Her rates are very competitive and the initial consultation fee is R450, with follow-ups at R400. Pensioners and children under 12 will be charged at reduced rates. Food Lover’s Market

What’s not to love about the new Food Lover’s Market at Comaro Crossing, Oakdene? I popped along last week. I had intended going at the weekend but just seeing the amount of traffic which was entering and leaving the car park put me off. It was well controlled, though, with traffic guys assisting vehicles getting in and out of the centre.

I have to say I’m very impressed with the store’s layout, the great prices, the friendly and helpful staff and the cherry on the top, many tills which work the same way as at DisChem The Glen, where you are advised of the next open till.

It really was a pleasure and even though I missed some of the opening weekend specials there were still many to choose from. All the fruit and vegetables looked to be of excellent quality, and with fresh fish, meat, deli and hot-take-away food counters, there is something for everyone.

I was thrilled to see a range of non-perishable products from Waitrose UK, ranging from biscuits (chocolate chip with huge chunks of chocolate), coffee, a variety of mustards, and quite a lot more items. I can see I’ll be popping in at least once a week.

What I was particularly pleased about was the staff. They were very helpful, friendly and professional. Keep up the great work! What a pleasure it’s going to be to come and shop here. I’m already looking forward to my next shopping experience at Food Lover’s Market Comaro Crossing.

That’s it for this week. Shop till you drop.
