Generation Earth taking over

Waterstone hosts Miss Earth ambassadors

ELLA Bella, founder of Generation Earth, and Lesego Seloane, Miss Earth Regional Finalist, hosted a Generation Earth assembly at Waterstone College on Monday, August 1.

An enthusiastic crowd of learners gathered in the school hall to listen to the Climate Reality leader speak on waste management.

Speaking to the CHRONICLE Ella, said; “It was a talk on how we can be a part of a group of young people who live lives of a lasting impact and not a harsh one.”

The talk highlighted environmental challenges that South Africa faces as a country and in the world and this challenges young people to be the change agents in their schools, community and country and to leave a legacy that means something.

“Generation Earth is the solution for our future leaders where they make an effort towards making a change,” said Ella.

Generation Earth is successfully run by Ella Bella with the support of Nedbank and Tsogo Sun and launched a new council at Waterstone College.

Ella confirmed that the committee will be working closely with Mrs Paula Missing (educator) and principal, Mr Matthew Ridgeway.
