Robbery victim gives thanks

I wish to express my gratitude to everybody who assisted me after I fell victim to a robbery

On Saturday, 25 June, I was robbed, at gunpoint, in the underground parking garage of the Glenvista Shopping Centre.

My thoughts are with the security guard who also had a gun held to his head. I would like to sincerely thank all the very kind people that came to my assistance.

The gentlemen who was waiting for his wife in the car who was there first to help and offered me his cellphone so that I could contact my family. The lady who stood by my side the entire time, wiped the blood from my face and gave me her Wet Wipes. The car guard who kept bringing me cloths and paper. The gentlemen and lady who bought me a cool drink and water. Mike from the Mulbarton CPF who was truly wonderful and helped us with my car. Lauren from the victim support group who phoned me within hours.

To the paramedics, thank you so much for your compassion and kindness, as well as the staff at the Mulbarton Hospital. There were so many more people that were most kind to me and I would like to thank each and every one for your care and compassion and for being there that day. I truly appreciate it.
