Free Gandhi Walk Fusion Show

Children can look forward to an entertaining Kids Zone managed by Shine Events, and in partnership with Ster-Kinekor Entertainment the Gandhi Walk will host a PlayStation Gaming Zone.

THE Gandhi Walk committee recently announced it has adopted a fresh approach for the new free Fusion Show for the 31st annual Gandhi Walk and Fun Run – honouring Ahmed Kathrada, which takes place on Sunday, April 17, starting and finishing at Gandhi Hall, Impala Crescent, Extension Five in Lenasia.

“We have put in a lot of effort, introduced changes and have confirmed performances to wow the community, so this year the public can expect an entertainment programme that is different to previous years, and it’s all free for participants and the public to come and enjoy on the day,” says Gandhi Walk chairman, Amit Parbhucharan.

Something for everyone

The main act for the afternoon is Mo Magic. Regarded by many as South Africa’s top magician and dubbed by the media as the ‘James Bond of Magic’, he will be performing live on stage for the very first time in Lenasia at Gandhi Walk 2016. He has recently appeared on his own 13-part prime time SABC3 TV show titled ‘Magic with Mo’. The show was a phenomenal success rising to the second most watched South African show on SABC3, second only to Isidingo. The only international shows with more viewers were the ‘Bold and the Beautiful’ and ‘Days of Our Lives’ soaps. This is a performance you do not want to miss. Attendees will be left astonished and amazed with his world-class sleight of hand and mind reading magic.

The Fusion Show with Super J will feature a great line-up including bedazzling performances by Oriental Fire, a hot and spicy comedy by Karou Charou, a scintillating opera rendition by Anel de Swardt, and thanks to Eldo Coaches, one of the country’s top marimba bands and African traditional dances by Parktown Girls will also be performing.

Sit down, relax and come enjoy all of this for free from 11:30.
