Taxi driver shoots two passengers in Glenanda

One male and one female were shot in a taxi in Glenanda.

TWO passengers, travelling in a taxi in Amanda Avenue, Glenanda, were shot in an argument over change for their fares.

On Sunday afternoon, March 13, at about 16:40 an argument ensued when two of the taxi’s passengers didn’t have enough change to pay their taxi fares.

One male and one female were shot. The male was in a critical condition, and both were taken to Baragwanath Hospital for medical treatment.

The taxi driver ran away from his vehicle and the scene of the shooting, but handed himself over to the police at Moffatview Police Station the following day.
