Dancing for fun

Teaching: Movement and expression, as well as how to improve posture

JAZZY Masala Dance Academy held two workshops over the past two Fridays and junior and senior dancers learnt some moves using lots of expression.

Workshop coordinator Jo-Ann McQuirk said, “I’m teaching the students about movement and expression, as well as how to improve their posture. It’s been a fun workshop.”

Owner of Jazzy Masala Dance Academy Versha Magan likes to think outside the box and invited Jo-Ann to come along and do the workshops with the dancers. “The purpose is to develop the children from an arts and culture perspective and we are teaching the students much more than just dance,” she said.

At the dance academy, students learn Bollywood, hip-hop, jazz and Indian classical dancing. If you are interested in dance lessons for your child, please phone Versha on 083 275 4531.
