Dealer runs away without his drugs

Every sealed pack opened was filled with the same substance.

A SUSPECT delivering narcotics in Palmridge left his packages behind and ran off when he noticed a police vehicle approaching him.

Eden Park SAPS received a tip-off on Friday, February 12, about a man delivering drugs and doing his rounds in the Palmridge area.

“Following up on the tip-off we drove to Palmridge Extension Six and noticed the man stopping at a shop. When the driver realised we were driving towards him, he jumped out and ran away,” said Warrant Officer David Mathobela.

Upon searching the vehicle they found a box, which seemed to contain ordinary packets of cigarettes. “When we cut open a few of the packets, we discovered it was filled with narcotics. Every sealed pack opened was filled with the same substance. We were also later informed that the man who ran away was a foreign national who is in the Mayfair area,” said Mathobela.
