Celebratory smiles for Mondeor High School learners

Learners at Mondeor High School gathered outside the school from 08:30 on Wednesday January 6, waiting to hear their matric results.

MONDEOR – Some already knew their fate, having got them online or from a newspaper after midnight that morning.

THRILLED: Lesego Tabane gained four distinctions in math, science, accounting and history.

Speaking to the principal, Mrs V Nicolaou, she said, “Last year we had 319 matriculants, achieved a 95 percent matric pass rate with 188 Matric Bachelor passes. Considering we have learners from differing backgrounds, I’m extremely happy with our results.”

Top learner was Riyaadh Bismilla who achieved five distinctions and Lesego Tabane gained four distinctions in math, science, accounting and history.
