The Carletonville raised Moto 3 rider. Brad Binder, picked up his second win in a row at the Le Mans circuit in France during Round 5 of the Moto 3 championship that forms part of the MotoGP series.

Binder overtook Romano Fenati on the second last lap with a fantastic overtaking maneuver, that had the crowd and his Red Bull KTM Ajo team out of their seats. The South African had been in a tight tussle with Fenati and Jorge Navarro for most of the race.

Binder now extends his lead in the championship to  24 points over Navarro in second place. In total, Binder has 102 points.

“Today has been a very good day for me; I am very happy to have got another win. That’s two in a row, as well as placing on the podium at every race so far this year, which is fantastic,” said Binder after the race to MotoGP.com

The next Moto 3 race will take place on 22 May with the Italian Grand Prix in Mugello.
