Another taxi-related murder in Carletonville
Many residents were shocked when yet another brutal murder related to the local taxi industry took place in a public space in Carletonville yesterday (4 June).
The incident took place in the parking lot of Spar TOPS in Dolomite Street at about 14:50.
The victim, a taxi owner from Cuta (the Carletonville United Taxi Association), was sitting in his taxi while his wife and a family friend went inside the business.
Two unknown men walked up to the taxi and opened fire at the victim. They walked away after the incident.
He died at the scene.
