Carletonville resident murdered in home

A resident from the eastern side of Carletonville was murdered in his home this week.

The incident happened on Boundary Street on 17 May.
As far as could be determined, a group of men arrived at the house at about 12:15. They started loosening the putty on one of the windows with a spear.
The man in the house heard something going on and went to investigate.
The thugs shot him in the head when he opened the door. Police later found the thugs had ransacked the house, looking for something. Although they had even cut open some lounge chairs and opened the ceiling, they did not take any electrical
equipment.
The deceased, Antonio Makhavelane Ucueio (53), was a Mozambican citizen working at Sibanye-Stillwater.
The police later found the spear and an empty 9 mm cartridge at the scene.
