Khutsong husband missing, possibly kidnapped

The police in Khutsong are asking the community for help in finding a resident who has been missing for three weeks.

According to the communication officer of the police in Khutsong, Captain Eddie Boboko, 43-year-old Mr Doctor Matlhomola Jwili, a resident Khutsong Extension 5 Carletonville went missing on 4 April. Jwili was last seen at about 20:00 at Khutsong South.

Jwili’s wife told police that her husband’s nephew called her to say that her husband did not come back home on 4 April. She then went looking for the friend that her husband dropped off, who confirmed that he last saw him at approximately 20:00.

“Doctor has been missing since that time and he was never seen again. He was driving a charcoal Mazda 3 hatchback with reg YHK 991 GP when he went missing. His cell phone was also off when his wife tried to contact him,” says Boboko.

Jwili was reported as missing at the Khutsong SAPS and police launched a search for him. Carletonville Detectives found his vehicle in Finetown in Ennerdale while they were tracing wanted suspects in kidnapping cases reported at Carletonville.

Although they arrested six suspects for kidnapping, extortion and theft of a motor vehicle there was no sign of Jwili. He is still missing and the investigation continues into his disappearance.
