A lucky Fochville local wins with #ICanWithAbsa

Season two of #ICanWithAbsa saw three lucky winners drive away with a brand-new Toyota Scarlet.

Three lucky Absa clients recently each drove away in a brand-new Toyota as part of season two of the #ICanWithAbsa Drive Show.

The drive show had an estimated R2 million in cash and prizes to clients who took out an Absa Personal Loan and opened a transitional account.

On October 27, the three lucky winners, Elsabe Dieppenaar, Kutlwano Matiea and Ruwayda Grootboom picked up their brand-new Toyota Scarlet’s from Toyota Bryanston.

According to Absa Group head of transitional banking Omar Baig, it was such a good feeling to give back to clients who continued to show their loyalty to the bank.

“We did this [drive show] to really connect and reconnect with our customers and to finally see that come to fruition, to see the joy and their reaction.
“I was just having a chat with one of the customers who said that she had never won anything in her life before, just on the drive here her heart was beating like crazy.”

He added that season two of #ICanWithAbsa came at a time when South Africans were recovering from the pandemic.

Kutlwano Matiea from Secunda said, “I honestly feel so blessed to be given this opportunity. This is really going to change our lives. My wife and I have four children and it can sometimes be difficult managing the kids, making our jobs easy as parents. I am planning a boy’s trip with all four of my sons and we look forward to taking this car on the open road.”
Ruwayda Grootboom from Pretoria said, “This will go such a long way in helping us travel a lot more and a lot further. Especially because this is a brand-new car, no more car troubles, I am very, very blessed to be given this opportunity.”

“Over the last two years, we have been trying to help customers with their banking needs. This was one of the ways of reconnecting with them with something that may be a little closer to their hearts and will help them achieve different objectives in their life.

“It is not often that we get to do this and to be able to give back something small to our customers is everything to us,” said Baig.
