ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 19:22 to find the local authorities already in attendance. The victim was found lying in the middle of the road while the car which had struck him was parked a short distance away.
Medics assessed the man and found that he had already succumbed to his numerous injuries. Nothing could be done for him, and he was declared dead.
Paramedics assessed the car’s driver and found that he had sustained moderate injuries. The man was treated and thereafter transported to Carletonville Hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
