Part of Carletonville and Khutsong without water tomorrow

Rand Water has scheduled a planned shutdown for tomorrow.

According to Rand Water’s communication officer, Justice Mohale, the water provider has scheduled a planned shutdown of its E14 pipeline to allow for a new piece to be fitted into a part of it that has been damaged. The 24-hour project is scheduled to take place from 06:00 tomorrow morning (Friday 18 February) to the same time Saturday morning. During the project Carletonville Extension 9 as well as Khutsong will be without water. Rand Water says it has notified the Merafong City Local Municipality of the planned shutdown so that it can make contingency plans. Rand Water asks that consumers must use water sparingly at all times.
