On Friday morning, at least nine people were injured when a bakkie overturned on the N12, approximately 10 km outside of Carletonville.
ER24 arrived at 11:30 to find the bakkie lying on its side in the middle of the road. Several people were found seated near the vehicle.
Medics assessed the patients and found that at least nine people had sustained minor to moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The patients were treated and thereafter transported to nearby hospitals for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
