The municipality confirmed this fact after questions on Tuesday. A resident of Fochville contacted the Herald, complaining about the carcass of a large black dog laying on the side of Losberg Avenue in Fochville, close to the Fochville Civic Centre for days. “I have tried to contact the municipality, as well as my ward councillor, to get the dog removed, by no-one seems to want to take responsibility. I feel that it is actually the owners of the dog that should pick it up. As Christians we are supposed to look after and care for animals as they are also part of God’s creation. It pains me that this poor animal was just left there,” he says. The Herald contacted the municipality to get more clarity on this issue.
