Yesterday morning, a man and woman were injured when two vehicles collided on the R501 in Welverdiend.
ER24 and the Provincial Fire Services arrived at 08:41 to find the two light motor vehicles in the middle of the road. Several people were found seated near the cars. Other motorists had stopped and were seen offering first aid to the patients.
Medics assessed the patients and found that a man and a woman had sustained moderate injuries. Fortunately, no serious injuries or fatalities were found.
The patients were treated and thereafter transported to Carletonville Provincial Hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
