Big Rand Water shutdown still next week

The big Rand Water shutdown that has been planned for next week will still take place, just two days later.

Rand Water sent out a notice warning all consumers of a planned shutdown of its B11 and B19 pipelines on Monday, 15 November.

Although it later sent out a notice that the shutdown was postponed, another notice was sent out yesterday.

This new notice confirms that the water shutdown has just been postponed to Wednesday 17 November.

There will be an expected shutdown of 54 hours to install three valves on the B11 pipeline.

Consumers in the Merafong City Local Municipality as well as those of Johannesburg Water, Mogale City, Rand West, Rustenburg, Madibeng, Metsimaholo and Emfuleni will be affected.

Yesterday’s new notice about the postponement.
