Mother killed, father and son injured on N12 near Fochville

A woman believed to be in her 40s has died and a father and 4-year-old son have suffered moderate injuries in a single vehicle rollover on the notorious N12 about 3km outside Fochville yesterday afternoon.
ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 16:09 along with GPG, the Fire and Traffic Departments to find a Mitsubishi SUV on its side on the side of the road.

The woman, who was a passenger and believed to be the wife and mother, was found on the ground, 5 meters from the vehicle. She unfortunately showed no signs of life and was declared dead on arrival by GPG.
The 4-year-old boy was found sitting next to the vehicle and the driver and father of the boy was found walking around on the scene. Both had suffered moderate injuries and were treated and transported to Carletonville Provincial Hospital for further care.
The exact cause of the incident is unknown to ER24, however, the South African Police Services were on the scene for further investigations.
