Robbers target supermarket

A gang of robbers struck at a supermarket at the Carletonville taxi rank last weekend.

The Carletonville police say the personnel were busy closing the store when the incident happened just before 20:00 on Saturday.
Some of the staff were busy at the supermarket’s back door when three unknown men stormed up to them. Two were armed with handguns while the other one had a knife.
The thugs forced the employees back into the store. The manager was marched to the front of the business to open the cabinets.
The criminals stole cell phones and cigarettes before running out of the shop and fleeing in a white car, the make of which is unknown.
