Injured dog rushed to hospital

The Pittbull-cross adult female was found to have sustained serious injuries.

Gauteng.- A dog was taken to the Fourways Vet Hospital after being knocked down on the N14 last Tuesday. Netcare 911 reported that on Tuesday evening, one of its  paramedics pulled off to the side of the road after noticing an animal on the side of the N14. After closer inspection, it was noted that the doghad been struck down by a motor vehicle on the N14. The Pittbull-cross adult female was found to have sustained serious injuries.

 

”Without a second thought, an available ambulance as well as the Netcare 911 specialised Rescue Unit was dispatched to the scene, who arrived in a matter of minutes. While the dog was made comfortable, a local Vet was contacted regarding the incident and informed of the ambulances pending arrival. After safely loading her into the ambulance, she was rushed to the Vet, who immediately rushed dog into the surgery.” Netcare 911 said that after a long battle by all involved to save the dog’s life, she sadly passed away. “We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the crew involved in trying to preserve the life of man’s best friend, reminding us that all life is precious. A big thank you to the team at the Fourways Vet Hospital”
