Hawks seize drugs worth more than R500 000 in Potch

A house in Sol Plaatjie Street was raided on Friday, (23 July) by the Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation unit as well as members of the local police’s K9 and Mounted unit. Various drugs well over R500 000 were seized.

According to Captain Tlangelani Rikhotso, spokesperson of the Hawks in the North-West, one of the backrooms being rented out harbored an assortment of drugs that included cocaine, dagga, and crystal meth.  The police also seized alcohol and R8 000 cash. “Numerous documents including price lists of drugs and alcohol were found in the room”, said Captain Rikhotso.
