Anyone over 60 can get Covid-19 jab without pre-registering

The Gauteng Department of Health announced this week that all its vaccination sites are now open for any person 60 years or older to walk in with with having pre-registered.

“All public vaccination sites in Gauteng now accept walk-ins, whether the people have registered to be vaccinated or not,” says the Department’s West Rand spokesperson, Ms Nomagugu Hloma. She added that people of 60 and over may visit their nearest vaccination site, where they will be registered and vaccinated. “No one will be turned away”.

The vaccination sites in the Merafong City Local Municipality area are Carletonville Hospital, Fochville Civic Centre and Wedela Com- munity Hall.
