Taxi driver’s murder a mystery

The murder of a taxi driver on the P111 last week is still shrouded in mystery.

According to the Carletonville police, a motorist noticed a minibus taxi standing on the P111 at around 20:00 on Thursday, 13 May. The taxi was idling in the road near the East Driefontein entrance and its headlights were still on. When he went to investigate, the motorist found the driver, who had been shot, on the ground behind the vehicle. The driver was later identified as Mr Zanemvula Jackson Sibuko, a member of CUTA (the Carletonville United Taxi Association).
